How you can help...
Unfortunately as you know car problems always seem to manifest themselves at the most inopportune times. Which means that once you decide to bring your car in, that's when the problem may mysteriously go away, right when you need show us the issue. Remember information is power. The more you can tell your technician about your car's problem, the faster (and more accurate) he or she will be in making the correct diagnosis and getting you back on the road.
Be Specific...
Does the problem only occur at certain speeds? When the car's been running for an extended time? When you brake? When you make sharp turns?
Be Thorough...
You should also let the technician know how long you've had the problem, if you've had this problem before and if you've had any recent repair work or service. Have you tried any repairs on your own to fix the issue? If so what were they and what were the results?
Be Patient...
Don't try to second-guess the problem, and don't expect a solution or estimate from your technician before a thorough diagnostic sequence is conducted. Todays cars have many complex systems and a problem in one may sometimes cause issues in another. This is no time for shot in the dark diagnostics we don't do that type of work. It can only lead to higher than necessary repair bills and unhappy customers.
Be Informed...
